The world's largest fair, Germany's 'ANUGA' participates and introduces 'vegetable collagen' in the global market
RAWGA Co., Ltd. announced on the 12th that it introduced plant-based collagen at the world's largest food fair, "ANUGA, Allgemaeine Nahrungs und Genussmitel-Austellung."
"Anuga 2023" was held in Cologne, Germany, for five days from the 7th to the 11th. The Anuga, which was held under the theme of "Sustainable Growth," featured the largest number of companies from 118 countries and 7,800 companies this year to showcase various products that will lead the global food industry.
RAWGA received a lot of attention from beverage, confectionery, and health functional food manufacturers as an original raw material called vegetable collagen, and was particularly highly regarded as the only alternative to animal collagen with problems such as microplastics, heavy metals, and radioactive contaminated water.
The company's brand PLANT (Plant Collagen), which uses plant-based collagen, also received inquiries from overseas buyers. The stick-type collagen products were very popular because they could be easily consumed without water and had a better taste than existing animal collagen.
Kim Hyun-min, CEO of RAWGA, said, "It was held with distribution buyers as well as manufacturers in Germany, such as Katjes, which is famous for jelly, and meetings were held with buyers from all over the world," adding, "We will actively target overseas markets with differentiated strengths of plant collagen by experiencing high interest in sustainable plant-based alternative foods."
Meanwhile, RAWGA has completed an export contract for the plant collagen brand PLANT (Plant Collagen) with the U.S. this year and is entering the online platform Amazon US to enter overseas markets in earnest.
